I Am a Christian… And I am a Medium by Troy Griffin

On March 12, 2016 I awoke to an email in my inbox alerting me to an article in the society column of Christian Today authored by journalist, Czarina Ong. In the article, Ong, warns the Christian community that belief in spirit and consulting with a medium like myself violates bible scripture, and therefore could not be Christian. In fact, she refers to me, specifically, stating, “[Troy] Griffin argues that his ‘psychic calling’ is a gift from God.’”
My offer to grant Christian Today an interview to share my point of view on my gifts was not acknowledged by the publication or by its writer. Though they declined my offer to grant them an interview, they did choose to interview Jennifer LeClaire of Jennifer LeClaire Ministries (jenniferleclaire.org), who warns the article’s readers that my spiritual work is a “tragic deception” to Christians. While I was disappointed in Ong’s narrowly sourced and strongly one-sided journalistic rhetoric, I was hardly surprised. Why? Because I understand it; I grew up around it.
Married into a devout Christian family, I have spent most of my life devoted to my faith and my church community, and I hold my religious values dear. In fact, I am proud to say that I have religious leaders as members of my own family whom I love and respect.
Here’s the rub; I was born with an innate ability to receive communication from spirit and through my clairvoyant (simply translated to: one who see clearly) abilities and empathic intuitiveness. I am able to receive messages that are not my own, but channeled through a higher source. You can imagine my own internal struggle when a young Troy Griffin who faithfully studied the bible as a child was able to make these spiritual connections that on the surface are professed to be anti-Christian and anti-scripture. What was I to do?
Because of what I had been taught as a child and out of fear of being ostracized by my community, I remained “in the closet” so-to-speak, for thirty years. I only confided my abilities to a few trusted members of my inner circle.
As a believer in God, I had spent over 30 years of my life sequestering my thoughts, feelings, insights, and gifts from much of my family and others as I was unsure of my spiritual and personal beliefs regarding what is “right” and “wrong,” “good” and “bad,” according to biblical scripture.
The Turning Point
If you ask many mediums or those with extra-sensory gifts, they will admit to an initial internal struggle before coming to terms with and embracing such gifts. In my case the turning point was when one day I had a profound question asked of me. “Are you intuitive?” Oddly, it was asked by a person I had just met five minutes earlier. I was not sure why in that moment I chose to share with this stranger, but I instinctively answered “Yes.”
Given my response, I was provided with a name and city of a missing person. I was then asked if I picked up on anything regarding this particular case that was just shared with me only moments ago. I took a few minutes to think about what I felt, saw and thought about this case. Once I began speaking, I was informed that I was accurate with the details of the case that listed on the police report. In further conversation, I felt that the missing person was a victim of homicide. I continued to provide information on where I thought the body might be located. Again, with a high accuracy rate and giving information on the general area, this person was located and was, in fact, deceased. The case was ruled a homicide.
Was this a gift of divination or a gift from God? Whatever the source, it had allowed me to help someone and their family with answers towards their path of moving forward with justice for the victim. After this experience I did a lot of soul searching and looking for answers. I often asked, “Why me?” Why was I able to do this? How did I know this information and does this fit into my religious belief system and into the greater fabric of society?
I realized that this unique ability has to be a gift from God and I needed to accept and use my gifts to help others. I accepted that others in my family, in my religious community and in much of society would not approve or be accepting of me using these gifts. What I realized within myself is that my intuition is part of whom God made me and this is my personal journey and walk in this lifetime.
I have subsequently done work around the world, consulting on more than 100 missing person cases, and providing peace and closure to countless individuals through private readings. I believe that in our unknown times, if helping others with moving forward or gaining closure on life events is a sin, then I am a sinner. I will have to answer to God on departure from this psychical world and I’m alright with that.
As I continue my journey as a Christian believer and an Intuitive Consultant, I will continue to assist others who ask for my help in searching for answers, moving forward, and investigating unsolved crimes. This is my calling; my calling from Go
In the Christian Today article mentioned above, writer Czarina Ong goes on to cite a bible passage from the book of Deuteronomy 18:9-13 stating that it is an “abomination to the Lord” for any person to use “divination, or use witchcraft,” or become “an interpreter of omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts spells, or a spiritualist, or an occultist, or a necromancer.” This is just one of many verses in the Old Testament that are used for justification and validation on why being an intuitive (psychic) is wrong.
I have yet to ever be interviewed by a writer, reporter, or spiritual leader on why I believe my gifts are from God and why I feel as though I use them for a greater purpose than myself. My purpose – helping people move forward in life and find closure with life changing events. In fact, more than ninety percent of my readings incorporate God and His word.
In the new testament, 1 Corinthians 12:14, it states, “All of gifts of spirits come from the Holy Spirit. 4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.”
As in the Old Testament, this is just one of several passages related to such gifts.

Change & Moving Forward - Psychic Consultants Online Blog

Release what no longer serves you – let it go! This may pertain to possessions, relationships, material goods, careers, etc. Whatever it may be, free yourself from your own emotional baggage. Baggage comes in many shapes and forms. The only way to move forward is to eliminate what is weighing you down. I can assure you that it will feel so liberating to release the past. Gain peace and freedom from this clearing. Release any judgment or self-criticism during this transitional phase.

This is a positive step towards self-acceptance and forgiveness. Discover the things and activities that provide you with lasting joy and fulfillment. Be grateful and accepting of this process. It is helping you evolve into your best self. This will likely be a difficult transition so it is critical that we are open and ready to receive it. Release any expectations of how things should be. Remove any lingering fears and regrets.

Rather, reflect on the positive aspects of this process. You are gaining strength, wisdom and courage along the way. Enjoy it for what it is. Never underestimate your worth – you are more powerful than you know. Take time to meditate and reflect during and after this transitional stage. What are your intentions – what do you hope to achieve from this? Eliminate any fears or self-doubt. Evaluate where you are in life by making any necessary changes along the way. It is time to finally reconnect with what makes you happy.

Where can improvements be made? Learn from your past mistakes and decisions. Use this as a stepping stone towards a more productive and peaceful future. Embrace the unknown with open arms, self-love and acceptance. This is your opportunity to begin again – a fresh start, a new beginning so, make sure to appreciate it. It may take time to become so accepting so it is essential that you take stock of what is holding you back in life. Welcome and allow these changes to be part of your life.

Moving forward doesn’t need to be an ominous struggle. While it may seem impossible at the time, know that it is a step in the right direction. This opportunity is a gift, not an obligation. Only you can make the decision to release and let go of what no longer serves you. Remember that your past has gotten you where you are today. You have struggled, grown and learned a great deal about yourself throughout the years.

I came across an excellent article, Living Fully, where the authors address change by stating, “Most of us just let life happen to us. Check in with yourself. Change takes courage.” This resonated with me as I’m sure most can also attest to this. How many times do we find ourselves just going with the flow? Maybe we continue our habits and lifestyles because it’s all we have ever known. It’s easy to continue doing the same old thing. It’s comfortable but it may not be what brings us the most gratification.

This is your chance to make things better. Realize your potential and know that your strength and determination will allow you to break down any barriers or obstacles. Be mindful of your goals and progress; maybe even reward yourself for your developments. You will continue to make mistakes and learn but at least you have lived! Focus on what makes you joyful and passionate. This will allow you to be at peace in all areas of your life. Take the first step today by going out of your comfort zone!

The Power of Encouragement - Psychic Consultants Online Blog

The Power of Encouragement - Be an Encourager!

This week was quite difficult for me as I encountered plenty of judgment and criticism. This same negativity inspired me to write and discuss the power of encouragement. I have found that it is important to live your life for you and only you! We shouldn’t make decisions based on the fear of what others will say or think. If we continue to live in fear and focus on negativity, this will transcend into a pretty dismal life.

There is an abundance of success to go around and reach all of us. So, why as a society do we continue to tear each other down? We must embrace each other’s successes and weaknesses. Rather than competing and attempting to edge out our competitors, we should be uplifting and supportive of one other. Nobody can judge you other than yourself!

Before placing judgment on another individual, you should take a thorough look at yourself in the mirror to make sure that you are perfect. Instead of degrading one another, we should focus on building each other up during our triumphs and failures. The world already has enough haters! Let’s make a conscious effort to change this by being a supporter no matter what the circumstances are.

Unless you’re perfect, which I can assure you – Nobody is, it is essential that you remove judgment of anyone and anything that is happening around you. Imagine how different the world would look if everyone was able to gain this perspective or outlook on life. With this new perception, imagine the positive effects it could have on your life. You will likely discover that being less critical of others will bring positivity into your life.

It is part of our individual journey to make mistakes when striving for happiness and success. In many situations, failure will happen before success can be attained. We often learn valuable lessons from these disappointments. This is why it is critical that others in our immediate environment allow us to make these mistakes by offering us warmth and support during these hardships.

Living a meaningful life requires that we learn something new each and every day. Don’t be afraid to take chances and make these mistakes as they are all part of your lessons in life. Give yourself the freedom to make mistakes without worrying about anyone else’s criticisms and thoughts. We will not evolve into the best version of ourselves if we are unable to live our lives fully and completely.

Be a role model – inspire others around you to be encouragers. After all, it doesn’t cost you any time or money to be an encourager to those around you. Why not give it a try? Find out how significant positive encouragement really is. Simply, replace your negative thoughts and opinions with optimistic attitudes. I can promise you that it will provide you with lasting gratification. Always strive to be a better person during challenges and stressful times. We gain nothing from being judgmental and opinionated of others and their decisions.

Knowing Ways - The Power of Making a Decision: Psychic Consultants Online Blog

Knowing Ways - The Power of Making a Decision
By Diana Blagdon

Several years ago I was working with a 60 year old coaching client who had been unemployed for over a year.  She was certain that her professional life was over.  She was debating which under employed opportunity would be her best option. She was emotionally overwhelmed and angry.

When she asked me to psychically look at the two possible job opportunities what I saw was the following scene from the Indiana Jones movie The Quest for the Holy Grail.

Indy finds himself at the precipice of a bottomless chasm. He can see that on the other side of the abyss stands the sacred temple in which the cup of Christ awaits him. Indy has searched the entire world for the Holy Grail, defied all kinds of rats, skeletons and villains, nearly lost his father, and risked death many times to come to this point.

He senses he is so close and yet so far.  As he looks down into the endless gorge, he recalls the foretelling of instructions specifically for this part of his journey.

Have Faith

Indy takes a deep breath and steps out over the chasm. He sees nothing to stand on, but he decides to follow the advice to Trust.  As soon as he leans out over the abyss, a bridge appears and he finds himself fully supported.

What was before his eyes as reality was transformed by faith?

The bridge could only be accessed by fully stepping into the present.

Faith becomes a vision of things unseen that can sometimes only be accessed through trust.

The message to my client was “Only those who are able to believe in the invisible can do the impossible”

The minute I said this the path to the right opened up in my mind’s eye and the Happy Day Café became her best choice.

How many times have you stood at a turning point in your life trying to decide which path to take?   Later you discover that either path would have gotten you to your destination – one choice just represented a more direct route than the other.  Occasionally you might even end up on a dead end road and have to turn around and start over. The key on those occasions is to notice the path and enjoy the journey.

I saw that my client was at a turning point in her life when she thought she was at the end of a dead end road.

She was struggling to make a choice between what she believed were two pointless jobs. I “saw” that she was at a decision point and the path to the right provided a bridge to her future while the left hand path was dark, uphill and longer.

I taught her this simple focus technique that she could utilize in times of turmoil to access her inner wisdom and assist her in taking a step of faith.

Take a couple of deep centering breaths; gently allow your eyes to close. In your mind’s eye by seeing, sensing or feeling create a vision of the scales of justice.  The left side of the scale represents NO the right side a YES.

In order to use this exercise you need to formulate your questions so a yes or no either or response is appropriate.  Ask the question, record the answer and pay attention to the results.  Know that the more you use and trust this process the more dependable it will be for you.

My client had 2 “menial” (her description not mine) job opportunities.  I saw the Happy Day Café as her best option and empowered her with a new skill to help her make choices in the future.

Within 6 months of taking the job at the café she met the owner of a start up business that was looking for someone to come in and manage his operation.   She was delightfully on her way again in a business opportunity that has provided her with a creative, meaningful life experience.  She also found a new process to use in times of doubt.

By seeking out assistance in her time of turmoil she came away empowered with a new way of KNOWING.

Set Your Intention this New Year - Blog

As we begin the New Year, many of us reflect on the past year and prepare for the upcoming year. For some of us, this can be a tedious and daunting process. It can be emotional for others who look back on those they have lost, challenges they have faced, and overall changes that have unfolded. It is critical to always stay grounded by setting a daily intention. This will ensure that you do not lose sight of what is truly important.

Setting an intention can be as simple as stepping back and slowing down during our chaotic daily routines. It may be taking time for yourself each day. This may involve setting aside time for a moment of meditation, reading, journaling, yoga, or exercise. Any activity that allows you to relax and reflect will foster your daily intention. Maybe your intention is to be more open to new ideas or to find joy in the little things, whatever it may be, make sure to foster your intention with anything that nourishes your soul.

Are you struggling to find your intention? A great article that I stumbled upon discusses writing a “To-Be list—with no stress or judgement involved… focusing on peace and slowing down.” Maybe you can reflect on these ideal qualities during a time of relaxation. Rather than holding yourself accountable for unattainable, unrealistic goals, set an intention or list of characteristics that you want to practice on a daily basis.

Be proactive with your intentions and “To-Be List”. At Psychic Consultants Online, we have several experienced consultants who will help you get back on the right path towards joy and abundance.  Our intuitive consultants can assist and guide you by helping you manifest your desired outcomes. Do you seek changes in your life regarding: love, relationships, career, or finances?  If so, allow our gifted psychic consultants to provide you with clarity, wisdom and healing.

With our assistance, you can practice your daily intentions. Discover how our psychic experts can be the tools to your success. As an added incentive, we offer your first three minutes free if you are a new client. What are you waiting for? The only thing holding you back is you. Make the choice today to start living a more mindful life.

Find Your Life Coach at Psychic Consultants Online!

Why You Need a Life Coach to Change

By: Marilyn O'Malley

Really being seen and heard by someone is very powerful and profound. It changed my life and it will change yours. Having an intuitive life coach support, guide and teach you on a regular basis is empowering, inspiring and one of the best decisions you can make if you want to create more in your life and business.
It feels safe having a coach guiding and supporting you through your heart openings, challenges, heart aches and successes. Feeling safe is a must for you to be able to make changes in your life. If you don't feel safe you won't go beyond where you are now. If you are unclear and afraid of the unknown, you won't take actions to transform. Find a coach with your best interest in mind to take you into unknown and exciting territory. They know the path and what is needed to make the life journey you are on safely and efficiently.
When you start to make changes in your life and receive more into your life, it feels exciting and uplifting but also scary and unfamiliar. All is good until it starts to unconsciously feel like too much, because you are not used to being in this place and your ego dislikes change. That is when you start to feel uncomfortable because you feel too happy, you don't feel safe or you feel overwhelmed receiving so much attention, and you start to sabotage yourself. You bring yourself down to where you feel more energetically comfortable. Your coach will help you learn how to manage the receiving of more in your life, so you don't abandon yourself and your dreams.
A good coach understands what it takes to make a transition and up-level your life or business mentally, spiritually and physically. They lead the way for you to have the greatest success in the least amount of time, sharing the how's and why's, and their transformational tools. A coach will spot your self-sabotaging patterns and thinking of unworthiness quickly, so you can stop tripping yourself up and move forward confidently.
You will not take yourself as far as you can go on your own or think as big as you need to create greater success in your life on your own. You only know what you know. And just like the good intentions of getting a gym membership to become and/or stay healthy and fit, your intentions to learn how to receive more will often falter when the ego convinces you to stay in your comfort zone! That is why you can't change without new information, new actions and habits, and new beliefs that are aligned with your vision and a trusted coach who will stop you when you 'upper limit' yourself and revert to your comfort zone. That's why having a coach who is trained to help you create clarity of your vision and spot your limiting patterns and beliefs will enable you to make the changes necessary for the results you desire. I couldn't have made my leaps of faith and life changes without my coaches and mentor's guidance and assurance and I still work with coaches today.
At times you will feel lost and confused. Transition can have you feeling like your 'Alice In Wonderland' down-the-rabbit's-hole, wondering what is real and what isn't. Change is exciting and terrifying at times because you have to let go of parts of yourself that were lies and uncover the genius that was buried. It is important to have someone who you feel safe with holding your big vision for you while you are taking the steps necessary to make your life or business shift.
Your coach will hold you as a whole, creative and resourceful person. You are not broken, you are more powerful than you can imagine! A coach will connect you to your truths, heart, purpose, strengths, talents and unique gifts expanding your sense of yourself and worthiness. A coach will have you experience your potential and see your potential larger than you could imagine it on your own. Your coach will challenge you to get out of your comfort zone to grow and accomplish your visions and goals. Most people won't do this for themselves. Your coach is committed to your success!
A skilled coach will celebrate with you along the way and make sure that you recognize and cherish and acknowledge every success along the way. You most likely don't take time to realize your accomplishments and successes. Rushing onto what is the next task is the usual habit. In the absence of celebration you take how you have grown and what you have learned for granted. You neglect to value what has been manifested by you and therefore diminish what has been created by you and for you. Watching you blossom and influence the world will be celebrated all along the way.
Finding the right coach for you will change your life!

Ask, Believe, Receive - Great Perspective on the Law of Attraction!

The Law Of Attraction: How We Create Our Own Good And Bad Fortune

By: Alexa Mellardo
http://elitedaily.com/life/create-good-bad-fortune/1233461/

There’s something about the transition of each season that evokes excitement.
It’s carried along with the crisp autumn breeze that brushes against your cheeks. Change rustles with the leaves as they begin to reveal their glorious crimson color.
Everything seems to fall into place as you walk down the sidewalk with a pumpkin spice latte in hand and the sounds of autumn crunching beneath your heels.
Urbanites retire their shorts and sun-kissed skin, embracing fall and all its grandeur. Wardrobes are updated with boots, cable knit sweaters and beanie caps. Hues of chocolate, charcoal and hunter green replace the pastel and neon color palettes in boutique windows.
Most of us are attracted to this magnificent season as it provides us with an enticing sense of reinvention and new beginnings.
Variations in routine are always exhilarating. Fresh surroundings create new possibilities, rejuvenation and adventure.
The sense of hopeful anticipation started for many of us way back when at the start of a school year with new friends, clothes, teachers and routines.
The first step to a fresh start is positive thinking combined with the law of attraction, a concept quite similar to karma.
Dwelling on the past or stressing over things you cannot change attracts negative energy and is a complete waste of time.
Be proactive; redirect your efforts toward things you can change and take the positive steps you need to get there.
According to Business Insider, the law of attraction can certainly transform your life for the better if you play your cards right.
Here are some of their suggestions on how to play:

We attract the energy that motivates our thoughts, whether positive or negative.

For example, if you’re constantly saying (or thinking) “I’m going to be late,” you sure as hell are going to be late.
Nip it in the bud, get there and learn for the next time that you have to leave earlier.

To induce change, we must envision things as we want them to be, rather than negatively focusing on how they are now.

Seek a job that you absolutely love rather than complaining about one you hate.
Life is way too short to wake up every morning dreading to go to work.

The more you dwell on something, the faster and more likely it is to happen (good or bad).

If you’re unhappy with your shape, do something about it.
Hit up the gym or sign up for yoga classes after work.
Avoid those tempting red velvet cupcakes at the bakery next to your apartment and incorporate healthy snacks into your diet.
You’ve got this!
Making these critiques in your daily routine will lead to a healthier, happier you.

Dealing effectively with life’s unplanned roadblocks can result in a positive outcome.

Don’t mentally drain yourself by focusing on a bad situation. Redirect your thoughts as to how you can improve it.

Assess your goals and dreams… and run toward them.

If you are in an unhappy or unsatisfying relationship, make it right.
If you can’t get things back to where they once were, move on. It will be so much better for both of you long-term.

It’s not your imagination; science actually backs the law of attraction.
Studies reveal the brain adapts to the law of attraction.
Researchers have uncovered “mirror neurons” in both humans and monkeys. Our mirror neurons actually emulate the actions of someone we are observing.
Simply put, if you are watching someone cry, the same brain pattern letting him or her perform that action is reflected in your own brain…just as if you were performing the same action.
Whenever we do something, what we do will create the same action in someone’s brain who may be watching.
The law of attraction is a powerful tool  we can use to our advantage…or disadvantage.
Ernest Holmes once said:
Believe as though you are, and you will be.
If you want to succeed at something, channel your energy towards it.
Any great trip in life calls for dreaming, planning and much hard work.

Negativity is a party pooper, so don’t invite her in.

When you spend time complaining about how hard it will be to reach a goal, you will get nowhere fast.
You create the person you want to be, the image you want to portray to peers and the people who you surround yourself with. If you are not happy with that picture, redraw it.
As Jewel Diamond Taylor said,
Your thoughts, words and deeds are painting the world around you.
It’s been said many times before: the mind is a terrible thing to waste. Fill it with positive thoughts; don’t clutter valuable storage space with unnecessary gibberish.
If you think positively, you are likely to attract positive people, good things and experiences.
Similarly, if you focus your time and energy on the catty bitches of the world, you will attract the drama that comes along with it.
Attracting drama is not worth your time or energy, having a spectacular outlook towards your overall plan is.
The law of attraction is real, and you should be mindful of it on a daily basis.
Be a positive person and you will attract a positive life. It is good for the mind, body and soul.

Man claims online psychic made him buy $1 million Powerball winning ticket

A Hollywood man claims an online psychic pestered him by sending periodic messages that promised riches were coming soon. He tried to ignore the psychic. And then.
By: Chris Matyszczyk
http://www.cnet.com/news/man-claims-online-psychic-made-him-buy-1-million-powerball-winning-ticket/
During a miserable period of my life -- you know, your average Tuesday -- I went to see a psychic.
She got everything wrong. She became more and more frustrated, until she finally exclaimed: "Come on! Can't you just tell me?!"
She kept the money, of course. Which is why I have a certain skepticism for those who claim psychic abilities.
Kevin Millard, however, seems to have no qualms. Well, fewer. As a California Lottery press release revealed, he consulted an online psychic for a while. He availed himself of the psychic's free trial offer.
When the freedom ran out, he cast the psychic aside.
This particular psychic, however, was clearly forward-thinking. She kept pestering Millard, of West Hollywood, California, with messages.
Had this been me, I'd have looked at one of these messages and clicked "block." There are enough charlatans online, desperate to take your money while promising you riches, that inboxes have become overwhelmed with them.
This one, said Millard, sent messages such as "Your money's coming. This year is a change for you." But Millard had cut back on his lottery ticket purchases. Until last weekend's jackpot became too alluring. It was $208 million.
He insisted, though, that it was the online psychic's messages that nudged him not only to buy tickets, but to go to an entirely different, random store to buy them.
His usual ticket-purchasing store must be loving him right now. Millard matched five numbers and won $1,009,368.
It's not clear whether the online psychic will get a cut, or whether Millard will now sign up for her paid services.
You will meet several women of your dreams in the next week! (This is Hollywood, after all.)
It's enticing, though, to think that there might some people lurking online who can change your fortunes. More often, they're likely to be those who sign you up, charge your credit card regularly and perhaps try to steal your identity.
Of course, it could be that the online psychic had absolutely nothing to do with Millard's win.
Who wants to believe that, though?
Caveat believer, all the same.

"An evening with past loved ones" event on October 2nd in Denver!
